This 'park' area has been a dog off-leash and popular attraction for a long time. When the Keillor road bridge was removed these interesting remains were left for the public to use. After a while concern that somebody might get hurt caused the city put up signs and barriers, leaving clear pathways unobstructed in several directions. Oddly nobody has ever been hurt here. However, the vote is to develop the site to avoid harm and to make it more usable. The development plans destroy at least three of the current paths - begging the argument that the new plan will not be as usable as the current parkland. These photographs capture the current site and allow for debate about how the site should be developed.
