Here is a try of a 720 degree panorama - same position a few month apart merged into one panorama. Getting the proportions right and blending was a bit of a problem but i think it works OK.

10/02/2015wow this is weird! perfect stitching between the two images! =]

10/02/2015It is not a direct stitch - I tried but none of the stitching programs support it (well, not PTGui or Hugin). Problem would be the scaling. I created two 360 panoramas and used GIMP with Mathmap to scale duplicate and scale the equirectangular images and then used a layer mask.
I tried three and more but that did not really work - at least not for me.

11/02/2015Bernd Kronmueller: yes! I ment a merge... not a direct stitch. Nice work! =)

10/02/2015You timed it really well for lighting. If the cloud cover was any different, it wouldn't be convincing enough. Nice job!

10/02/2015Living in North Wales you get to know your clouds - we just rarely see that bright ball in the sky a lot of people are talking about - hmmmm - a yes, - the sun.
